Lock seems to be stuck in the lock pos. Does anyone no if I can drill out the rivets, remove the lock put it back together ,with out the lock, and fix it in the fall.
Don't know about drilling it out. I'd suggest calling Zip Dee to get their first hand advise. Also, you can download PDF files from their website that shows assembly parts. That might help you see what you're dealing with.

I'd have to agree with Tin Hut. I'd give the folks at Zip Dee a call. From what I've heard, they are wonderful to deal with....as is the case with Fantastic Vent folks and the new tank monitoring company Airstream uses. The latter of the three, I can personally vouch for...and I bet several folks on the forum would say the same about Zip Dee and Fantastic Vent. Great support and service for their stuff.
My 1966 Safari has a 16' track and cleats down low on the frame. The handbook says the original awning was made by Carter Shade of Sepulveda, CA. Zip Dee says that the cleats are not of their making.
So I'm trying to find the original Carter shade fasteners and poles??? Or at least a fastener technique that will mate with the original Carter cleats? A picture of the cleat is attached.
