What kind of awning is this, and how does it work?

Our new AS just arrived on Monday, and after spending two days of checking it out, my husband and I have not figured out how to open and check the awning. From reading some of the other threads, I know there are several different brands with different operating instructions. Can someone look at the picture and tell me what kind it is and how it works? Also, (and this just makes me sick) The front window was in tact when purchased, but on the way home (less than 30 miles from our house) it shattered. Ugh... guess that'll be another thread ...

MTsafari, are you lucky or what? I am thrilled qjktx replied. I had noticed his posting of a Carefree manual in Photos -- printed off a copy for my Argosy and saved the jpeg files to my computer. Definitely see his link above. Mark, you have done a fine service to members!

I am lucky! I've found this forum to be the best thing ever! Now if I can only find a step-by-step manual (with illustrations) for fixing that blasted shattered window...

Deleted post by qjktx accidentally ....

Sorry about that folks! qjktx has graciously posted scans of his Carefree awning manual in his photo gallery. He did post second in the above thread and I've accidentally deleted that. qjktx's photo gallery is at http://www.airforums.com/photo...00&userid=6410

I gave him karma at the time -- probably should give him a second dose!

It seems the 2nd post had the answer to the question? If not, I had an awning just like it.

Carefree of Colorado

It was listed in the 2nd post that was accidentally erased as a Carefree. I have also used the information and obtained a copy of the operations manual for this awning. Many thanks to those (qjktx in particular) responsible for this information. I also send Karma. Ed

Carefree Instructions

This may have been posted for a while, but I found the awning operating instructions just when I needed it. When it comes to old instructions, owners manuals, brochures, I try to keep them as well.
Thanks,
Kevin
