Arrow What is a ZIP DEE AWNING 27' worth?

I removed my zip dee awning my from 1970 27' AS International.
I have been thinking about selling it. It has everything but the canvas. I have absolutely no idea what this is worth. Any thoughts?
Thanks All!

I bought a used set from Colaws for $450, (street side, rear and curbside). All hardware is good, except curbside arms, I didn't want the canvas.
Shipping is the killer.
They are kind of hard to find.

Try listing it on Craigslist for around $200.00 and see if you get any nibbles.

Man, if that were 1' shorter (or if my 63 Overlander were 1' longer) I'd probably buy it from you in a heartbeat. I'm even going to be up in Dallas next weekend with my trailer for Texas-OU weekend.

Curses!

Utee94,
They can be cut down.
Somewhere I have the instructions, do a forum search, they may show up.

The hardware is expensive.....next spring / early summer
there will be a higher demand and therefore fetch you a
higher selling price. 60 to 70 % of new price.....is fair.

I did get an offer for $200. After reading posts, not sure I should sell it. I like the look of my AS without it. Im wondering if Ill miss it later. How many use these awnings durning camping? Would it be a resale issue?

I would not be without an awning, our TW has three. A new awning for your trailer would cost close to $2K with shipping. It is a real plus if you sell your trailer.

Keep it. It greatly increases your living space, gives you a place to sit outside in inclement weather, shades your unit and keeps it much cooler.

And it looks great.

I'd keep it if I was you. An awning is a wonderful thing to have, especially in sunny climates like Texas.

Many here, including myself concur. Awnings provide cover from rain and shaded space that we use whenever possible. Maybe its just me but there's something relaxing about sitting under our awning with a lounge chair, a glass of wine, and a light rain.

while most streamers DO like and use the awnings...

some don't and some prefer the free standing erectable canopies...

that sell for under a 100$ at 10x10.

keep in mind the op z/d has NO CLOTH.

which means another 400-700$ to get if functional...

and includes reloading it, dealing with 40 year old springs and things...

and probably HELP with the process, IF when it happens.

what2do is never simple.

cheers
