Source for ZipDee Snap Pins?

Today, it occured to me that a project I'm working on could be solved by using numerous of the Snap Pin Assemblies found on ZipDee Awnings. I need about 100 of these. Anybody know of a source?

I agree -- Oasis is tops in my book and my only dealings have been over the phone. The parts dept staff understand well over the phone and shipping is both quick and reasonable. Look up under the dealer listings at airstream.com -- Tucson, AZ.

One hundred of those? Okay MacGyver, we'll really have to have a lot of photos!

Another Source for Spring-loaded pins

I like the zip dee part if you can find it at a resonable price. If not, search the internet for spring-loaded pins and you may find a variety of alternatives.

A manufacturer I deal with through work is Southco. You can't purchase directly from them but you can buy through aftermarket/hardware suppliers - not hardware stores but hardware suppliers such as Fastenal, Hardware Specialty, etc. You may have to be "in business" but there is usually a way around that if you are persistent.

Take a look at the attached Southco/Dzus datasheet. Cool colors!

Thanks to all who have responded. I think Lucius and I are on the same wavelink. Thank you so much for the lead! If Zip Dee and I can't get together on a price, I now have a backup alternative. My thoughts were Zip Dee would be expensive but if it was a part they buy, then I could either get it from their supplier or from a distributor. I have invented something which is getting ready to go into production so photo's will be posted as soon as all the loose ends are tied up and it hits the market. I'm looking to buy the pins wholesale, because I could eventually need thousands of them.

Try Zip-Dee

Bob,

As stated above, I would talk to Zip-Dee first, directly. Most of the staff is out of the office this week at the big FMCA rally in Perry, GA. you might give them a call any way to see who you should contact.

You also might try McMaster-Carr at McMaster-Carr I'm always amazed at what they carry. Another source might be the Thomas Register.

Update, those who thought I should check with Zip Dee first were ultimately correct. Zip Dee has them for $7.50 each. It was the lowest price I found, with others prices ranging from $9.25 to $22.50. The optimum solution was the Zip Dee from a price and asthetics standpoint. Thanks all!
