The ZipDee site had instructions but they were hard to find. The left side arm has the spring. I unbolt it at the wall and usually twist it enough so the awning has just enough tension to wind itself up. Use caution because if you let it get away it will whip the crap out of everyone and everything in its path
I looked at ZipDee's website a few times, but did not find the instructions. I'll look some more.
I was hoping to find an instructional video, but no luck yet.
