Rip Tape for Awning

Awning ripped at top of trailer where sewn to wind up.

Norm, I don't have a picture that easily shows the rip, and it trying to create one in MacGimp, I see that I described it wrong.

The rip is on the seam at the top of the trailer, but if rolls up to that point when stowed.

My profile photo shows the awning deployed.

I repair sails, and I know of no tape that is near strong enough to remedy your problem. Some RV Dealers carry a product called Awning Repair Tape, but in my opinion, it is not strong enough for what you describe. The same tape is called "Sail Bandage" when it is sold in Marine stores. Better to remove the awning and get it to a repair shop to be sewn.
