Reclaimed my useless awning

I mentioned in another post that I removed my old Carefree Fiesta awning from my Sovereign and was having it cut down a bit for re-use. Here is a photo of the results. I finally got around to trying it out today.

The poles are tent poles from W-mart, less than $10 each. I installed grommets in the awning to accomodate them and guyed them off to hold tension. It is a bit retro and just what I wanted for a whole lot less money than a new awning.

Interesting, How does it attach to the trailer? Does it need to be removed to tow? Where's it stored during travel?

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

It fits into the existing awning rail. Yes it has to be removed to tow, we fold it up and put it in the trailer or TV.

How many people does it take to put up? How many ladders needed?

It took six of us on two ladders, but it only took a couple of hours.

No, I did it by myself from my one ladder.
