Question about zip dee install

I just received my new zip dee awing for my 1972 overlander and was planning on installing tommorow, but as I was looking over the instructions I see step 2 is "Replace Stove Hood"

It looks like my stove hood cover might be too tall and get in the way.
I assume airstream has a replacement.

Anyone shed some light on this?
Can I take to old one off, cover the hold and still install awning tommorow, then get a cover quick shipped to me?

You need a stove vent cover that has a very low profile at the top.
InlandRV has them, I believe.
I would wait to get the modified cover, because it will be very difficult, if not impossible to properly install it with the awning in place. Bummer, I know, but access to the upper mounting hardware of the cover will be impossible with the awning in place.

Thanks Uwe,

I found this part on Inland Rv's site,

Andy, is this the part I need?
Is this a standard Airstream part, I live in Michigan and need this part in a couple of day to leave on a trip.
