Out of round main tube

We have another newly found problem.
Our awning has a bent roller tube.
Does anyone have a simple cure.
We were told that a new tube was the repair.

If it's a Zip Dee, only bowed and does not have a kink, you may get lucky. Zip Dee has some instructions on their site on re-straighting the main tube. I can say that mine resisted all efforts to straighten by simply using 3 mildly heavy dudes. I ended up placing a ladder under each end with the bow curving upward, then I used a front end loader to push down and straighten it out.

Be safe...

I got lucky as well. I placed a single ladder at the low point of the U shaped upturned tube; tied down one end to a lawn tractor, and pulled down (bounced and hung) from the other end. I stopped before it was absoultely straight, but it is working fine, with little wobble when retracting and deploying.

Thanks to all
The bend does not have a kink, there is about a 1.5 inch wobble. We will try the applied preasure repair and see how that goes.

Thanks again

Study, study, study where the exact center of bend is. You don't want to end up with a "W".
