Nest Awning Legs?

Is it my imagination or is this a design flaw on the 2019? The awning legs do not go to the ground and there is no clips to go to. Am I missing something?

Update problem solved!
Apparently I was not fully extending the flat latch at the top. Just an FYI for anyone else that runs into this.

PTO TIP: Extend the lower section (the one with the ball clip) first, and only then extend the upper section (the one with the flat lever) as-needed. It's a real PITA to get the leg back in if you do it the other way and accidentally pull the lower leg out of the tube.
