Need source for blue/white stripe awning fabric.

Hi, we need to replace the awning fabric on our 1975 29' Ambassador Land Yacht. Any ideas where to purchase the blue and white stripe fabric? The awning is 17' long.

You don't say what brand (Zip Dee, Carefree, etc) of awning, but Sunbrella is the most widely used awning fabrics.

A couple of years ago we fabricated a custom awning for another kind of trailer (oops, one of those "some other brand" trailers... actually a teardrop) I purchased sunbrella in fairly large quantities online from a search and got an excellent price and service. I tried to look and see who I purchased it from... but didn't find it. I found the company that would give me the best price/service. If you want to sew it yourself you will need a sewing machine that has a little "oomph" to it. I have one that is all metal and was made in 1934. It worked great. An upholstery type machine might make it easier. I wouldn't try using a newer machine that has plastic parts. The fabric is fairly hefty. Any way, our awning has held up very well and they have a great selection of colors, etc. from the Sunbrella line. Good luck!
