Manual Zip Dee - 3 positions or 4?

My 2019 FC26 has a manual Zip Dee awning. At the third detent, the top of the door slightly scrapes the bottom awning fabric. Is there a fourth detent, or some tension adjustment I can make to clear the door?

Yup. 4th position is the ticket for the arm by the door. The arm at the other end can be on “3”, if you want some slant.

Zip-Dee also has small roller that mounts near top corner of door that keeps fab. from fraying. Highly recommended, and very easy to mount on doo.r

Very helpful tip. I found the door roller on the ZipDee site.

Think I'd rather get Lift Handles to aid in getting 4th notch instead of drilling holes in door.

4th position is quite a ways up. The conopy will be essentially horizontal

I had one on my first Airstream and it will leave a mark on the awning.

There is a good video by Colonial Airstream about ZipDee manual operation. In it he says “four by the door” so the door doesn’t rub / damage the awning. I think it’s easy to remember that way.

Anybody ever use the caravan position when deploying your awning?
Here’s a great video from Airstream.
