How much "303" does it take to retreat the awnings?

SO i recently, today, retreated my awnings on a 2005 30 ft classic with full awning package so a lot of awnings to cover.

First let me say the awning were in good condition but as you can imagine from 12 yrs of use they get dirty, dusty etc so I made sure to clean especially the large door side unit which showed some visible dirtyness on it.

I went to sunbrella site to find the proper way to clean fabric which includes water Clorox and dish detergent applied and scrubbed with a car wash brush.

After you get it soaked and scrub you roll the awning up for about 20 mins, after that you take water hose with nozzle and thoroughly flush the fabric and then flush it again. NOW I had done this several weeks ago and recently got the 303 from amazon in a gallon size container.

The directions say to make sure to get the fabric completly wet with product and it is better to apply in full sun which I had today.

i do the bottom half first let it dry for 45 or so mins and roll it up to rear top half. The rest of window covers I could do standing on tip toes and spraying.

SO how much 303 does it take to do a 30 ft AS with awning package.. and it supperize me a as will a whole gallon. that is correct a whole gallon.

But i figure this will not need to be done for another 15 yrs so overall good deal.

The photo showing curb side is me doing the top half starting from the left side so you see the darkness of the spray on fabric.

enjoy..

So the other day was first chance to see how the newly cleaned and retreated awnings repealed water. I was washing the airstream after the winter storage and there is always a lot of stuff under the corners of back window awning especially.

I pulled it open some to open the metal cover to spray out the leaves etc that get in there and was able to get one of the stand off positioned on one side and the other side secured as well..

I was spraying the metal gutter on top of awning and the water was rolling off in large drops, IT was cool to see how well the awning now work all clean and retreated. I will get some pictures of the water next time I wash the unit. so stay tuned..
