It looks like a Carefree. A photo of the bottom of the arms would confirm that.
We quit Carefree a number of years ago, even though I was a very good friend of the original owner, who was a fantastic individual, who marketed a darn good product and stood behind it to the nth degree.
I asked Carefree why their arms do not really match the contour of the trailer, or at least reasonably so.
The big boss back then was a female.
Her answer was that
"Airstream never puts the awning rail in the correct place."
I told her that Airstream was in business long before 1969 which is when Carefree started.
She stated
"Carefree was not responsible for Airstreams stupidity."
For what you get, the price of Carefree awning is way to high, in my opinion.
If you roll out the awning frequently, the fabric won't last 5 years, which is Carefree's warranty.
If you roll the awning out once a year or so, the fabric sticks together.
The silver portion of the material, separates from the colored material.
The contour of their arms do not come close to matching the contour of an Airstream, and that's not their fault!!!!! (They say.)
The Carefree fabric, is nothing more than a vinyl impregnated cotton.
If a dealer partially installs a Carefree awning, and finds out that it doesn't fit correctly, he owns it as Carefree will not take it back.
Their warranty people are "gifted" with answers as to why the problem is always the customers.
Many after market RV products, are quality and try hard.
We cannot say the same for Carefree.
If one of our customers insists on a Carefree, we will not sell it to them, but do suggest that they buy it some where else.
Being in California, we too can be held liable for a manufacturers short comings.
If a dealer has a tough time dealing with a manufacturer, guess what a customer must go through???? Utter nonsense!!!!!!!
There are other brands of awnings that are very good.
In our opinion, we place Zip Dee at the top of the list, for their quality and excellent customer service.
Zip Dee is a no nonsense company, from beginning to end.
Yes their prices are high, and so is the quality of their entire product line.
