I have had my 58 Globe Trotter for a month now, still trying to figure it all out. The stick mounted on the rear back corner is puzzling me. It has a gear on it, I dont see what one post would be good for. How is it removed?

Be kind, lol

Jeff, hard to tell without a picture. But, if it is original, sounds like a radio antenna. There was a crank on the inside that raised/lowered the antenna, hence the gears. Let us know what you find out.
