Hi, I am getting an awning custom made for my '64 safari, I would also like to get arms custom made-can't afford zip dee arms and we just need simple straight ams as the awning will stay up all summer.
My questions are, has anyone done this?
Does it seem logistical to have an awning that is 11'x11' and have arms support it? Maybe 2 arms and 2 poles w/o the support lines?
I think some physics may be involved, something I know nothing about!
Thanks for any info folks!
Without rigid arms that are secured, you will have to install braces front and back, and a brace on the outer edge, in order to not need guy ropes. Even then, the awning will tend to blow around if not held down.
