Coolaroo shade fabric

Has anyone used Coolaroo shade fabric for an awning material? I just ordered a 6'x15' piece of fabric for under $30.

I seems ideal: weather resistant, light, allows for airflow, doesn't fray...

I think I can sew a cord into one pretty easily and get some poles/grommets and be done. I'd like to make an portable sun shade that sits over the trailer, but I'm going to start with a basic awning and see how this material fares.
