Anyone have a solid go to cleaner for the Zip Dee awning material?

In this video they recommend using dawn and bleach mixed with water. I think I would leave out the bleach unless there was some mildew.

Sunbrella makes a cleaner that ZipDee sells. It is in powder form. Add water and go!

I seen the same video. Agree on not using bleach - worried about the corrosive nature’s of same if it isn’t all removed

Dawn liquid soap is very good, removes almost all stains, recommended by sunbrella, when dry treat w/303 fabric guard. 303 marine fabric guard same formula as 303 fabric guard. IMO video posted as zip-dee shows how to clean awning using mix containing bleach, I would not use bleach will harm colors if not mixed correctly. I have never found stains on awnings that required bleach in 53+ yrs.

Sunbrella material is colorfast and nonreactive to bleach. It won't hurt it. Use bleach of there is mold or stains.

I was not aware that sunbrella fab. is color fast. I still would not use on awnings as dawn has did very well for me.

I've been fighting dirt/mildew on my SOB awning. Saw a post on another forum from a reliable poster promoting a product called "LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner" that he had gotten from Home Despot(). I picked up a 20 oz. bottle at a Dollar General store. After using, my awning now looks almost brand new.
The I started with the 20 oz. spray bottle was $1. It did such a good job, I went back and bought the 1/2 gallon for $3.

My method - spray the awning with water to get wet. Spray the Awesome on full strength and wipe wtih a wet micro fiber cloth. Rinse well.

FWIW the bottle claims: No Acid, No Ammonia, No Bleach. Safe for septic tanks. Contains no phosphorous.
