Oh.. Red if it heats, vibrates or both... I often have to add some where I want 'extra' grip.. one problem... I have 'twisted' things off while trying to remove a fastener with the red stuff...

Blue.. on most RV/AS metal to metal fastener.. we cannot use on plastic, etc. It would be ideal for the 'caplets'..just put the blue on the screw/bolt threads...jus a 'dab' on the beginning of the threads where the fastener threads on.. it should cover where the 'threads' on regular fastener bolts/screws tighten up.. in other words, if you have a long bolt to run the nut down, put the Loctite where things tighten up.

Example.. on my motorcycles, if I had to run a 'screw' into a place, I would put a drop where the threads made contact.. like halfway down.. this way the screw would clear the part and only make contact at the beginning of the threads.

Same for a nut like a caplet..
Why not a nylon locking nut?

Probably a snag hazard if I'm in the vicinity 😞

All of the nuts on the support arm ends are capnuts.

Locktite is great stuff but I always look for "cause" first....
"Treating the symptom" is a common scenario and we've all been there!
Somebody mentioned Centramatics in an earlier post and I can't help wondering if they are correct. A couple of years ago I read a post here that said Dexter did not balance the drums on these units. I didn't believe them and actually called Dexter to verify the info. They confirmed it! No balancing of the big cast iron drums...
Then I spun a brand new Dwxter drum on a very sensative automotive wheel balancer to see just how badly the drums where out... It was amazing!

I actually balanced my new drums before installing them and then balanced the Michelin tires I installed at that time. I have not had a loose screw in the trailer since! Next time I'd simply install Centramatics...

There, 2 cents please!

Yes, why not? Seems like a perfect application for a "Nyloc" nut.
