Changing Zip Dee Awning length

Has anyone shortened a Zip Dee awning? I found a used one but is too long for my trailer. Is it practical to try and shorten it? Thanks Brad

I have shortened an A&E to fit one of our trailers. Just remove the awning material from the roller, cut it down, stitch a seam up the freshly cut edge so it won't fray, and cut down the roller tube. Then reinsert the awning material into the roller, and re install on the coach.
It can be done in a couple of hours or so.
