I’ve removed it from the back entirely, the front one wraps left to right. I pull part of it out of the rail when we put up the awning (about 2 feet) and then replace it when we travel. I read somewhere that it’ll whistle if removed from the front.

Can you show and tell more about attaching the rope to the tarp. The tarp in your link is sold out and I am looking for an alternative.

Thanks!

Has anyone ever tried to attach a tarp to the keder rail, and the other end of the tarp to a canopy. Similar to the airstream text set up but a little more flexible?

We finally got to use our new awning this past weekend which was based off this thread. Thankfully my wife has a decent sewing machine so we were able to do this with the double flap 11mm keder rail. We also added grommets in the corners reinforced with 1050 denier nylon and 1" straps. In the middle of both sections is another grommet that works as either a drain hole or for another expandable pole when it rains. The guy lines are reflective 3ft and 4mm diameter. Overall it worked awesome and should last a long time.

Last year I was able to get it off of Amazon but now it shows it as unavailable. You can probably just call Keder Solutions directly and see what they can do. On their website they have it but only in white. It was funny that during this project I found out that Keder is actually in my home town and never knew it!
