Awning White Spots

I have a 2019 Flying Cloud 30ft Bunk model. I just noticed 3-4 small white spots on the underside the of the large awning. The fabric does not seem to be compromised - but the dark gray color is gone and replaced by what looks like a bleached white spot. I also notice that on the opposite side it appears that a similar sized portion had pine tree sap on the opposite side. Has anyone seen this? Is the issue just discoloration - or could the sap have caused an issue that can penetrate the sunbrella material?

I'd suspect it is the sun bleached sap causing the white and the sunbrella material is fine. Chemically, they don't react. Remove the sap with mineral spirits (paint thinner). I bet it will be fine.
