I have traveled several thousand miles like this and have inspected the alignment which is seemingly good. It’s just a “nit” with me and I wonder if there is something I might look at to solve the problem or just not worry about it.

We’ve a 2016 Classic. The main awning hook latch has refused to stay in place since buying. I’ve resorted to padlocking the hole in the hook to the hole on the trailer mount.
While I’m on a rant, I’ll add a question: why does Airstream have the hook at the end of the awning (rear of the trailer)? Shouldn’t physics and airflow dictate placing it near the front of the awning?
Oh well. Two cross country trips and the trailer has performed beyond expectations.
Good luck.
