Awning question

I have toyed about asking this question, but I just need to know. We have the carefree awning is there some kind of cover that is suppose to be over it.
What I guess I'm getting at is it is exposed to the sun. When I look at awnings on here it looks like they have some kind of cover on them when they are rolled up. Hope this makes sense I went to the carefree site and saw nothing there. The sun is bleaching my awning out.

Do you not have a aluminum cover that the awing rolls up in? Sorry if this sounds like a dum question but not sure what free standing on is never head of one before.

Hi Becky,

You can add the alumaguard covering to just about any Carefree patio awning. The only problem is the added extension length. If you know someone with a walking foot sewing machine you can have them shorten it.
Carefree will make it for you in just about any length you want.
