Awning Arm Always A Struggle

I have a 2018 Flying Cloud 19. It seems that when utilizing the awning it is always a struggle to pull the awning arm out (the one with the 4 pin holes). When putting the awing away - again pulling the pin to retract the awning is never very smooth. Any ideas on a fix or a correction?
Attached its the awning arm with the pin that I am referring to.Click image for larger version
