Are these usable or should I start fresh?

We are at the point in our project where it is time to consider the main awning. When we first got our Sovereign, I removed the awning brackets. the roller, and some of the attachments points. I cut the old awning off leaving about an inch of material attached to the railing at the top. The awning that was on there was in tatters - and I didn't really know any better (before I found Air Forums!). This looks to be a Carefree awning. The awning roller is 19' 7.5" NOT including the two end attachments (and those are 3" each).

I'm asking for advice. Do we use what we have (not even sure the awning arms work properly !!) and put a new awning on to the old roller? I'm not sure what the process would be - or the level of difficulty. Are there parts available if an arm is missing something?

OR - do we start fresh and have a brand new Carefree or Zipdee awning and parts installed. I am guessing about $2500 to go brand new - and that's the sticking point. If I can save a substantial amount of money retrofitting...

Thank you for any comments, advice, etc!

I'd what you got. Order the material, clean and inspect every part. I'd take this opportunity to install a new roller spring, considering its age.
