22FB Zip Dee awning assist handles

There is a 4 year old thread on this subject but I'm surfacing it again here for this crowd. So don't think I didn't look...

The manual Zip Dee on our 22FB is/can be a bear to get raised. No matter what I did, this &*@! awning contributed to marital disruption more than anything on our trips. If you are under 5'7', you know the final lift of the bottom supports can be trying. So I bought the set of Zip Dee lift handles from:

Why Zip Dee didn't include them in all manual lift awnings as standard equipment is beyond me. We gave them a try today and found them indispensable in keeping a smile on your face while lifting the awning to it's final height. Takes a little practice to make a smooth transition but beats the previous option. So here they are attached to our Baby Doe.

Thanks for bringing it up, ordered a pair this morning. Spent 1/2 hour cleaning and lubricating the pivots, slides, roller and locks with a silicone spray. So much better already:-)
