1979 Street Side Awning Spring

The window awning on the street side of my 1979 Airstream appears to have a busted spring. The awning runs almost the full length of the trailer (total trailer length 31ft) and has no tension whatsoever.

Can someone direct me to the proper spring(s) to buy, and if only one is needed, does it install at the front or rear of the awning tube?

This just happened to my streetside awning, were you able to fix it OK? Big job, or not so bad?

It's an easy fix. The most difficult part was fishing out the old spring where it had snapped in two. Just drop the trailer so the tube is angled downward, and grab the broken spring with something. I just used the L-shaped awning pull rod to reach the spring.
