1967 international needs an awning

Hello!

I’m looking to add an awning for a 28 foot 1967 international ambassador. Does not have any of the previous hardware.

Looking to purchase all parts needed and install myself or with RV repair company.

Anyone have anything they want to sell or where to find ?

You did not ask, but consider a pop-up screen room instead. Much less expensive and not a worry if a sudden wind or rain event happens.

I can dig that @ Foiled Again. Any ideas on what to purchase for my model?

Zip Dee has an estimator on their website where an authorized rep can give you a quote.

Vintage Trailer Supply has some older style classic with rope awnings if you want to price those.

Awning needs

Jakerez7, It appears from your picture that you already have the rail on your trailer for mounting the awning material. Can I ask if you have already sealed it to prevent leaks? It would appear that you will need the entire awning to include the awning roller, canvas material, awning arms and mounting hardware if you can find it. I have an awning tube that I will check tomorrow to see if it will fit on your trailer. Ed

Zipdee in my opinion is the way do go. Not cheap but been around for decades. Parts and advice are readily available. Another option that looks vintage is a pole awning. Inexpensive but needs set up for each use.

Selecting a screen room that is right for you depends on four things
- size of your group
- limited by storage space - BIG issue w Airstream
- ease of setup
- durability

Clam is good, but doesn't store in small spaces and some have durability issues. Any screen room will require periodic maintenance and repair. Read the reviews on Amazon,.especially the 1 and 2 star ones
