What about my gaskets!?
So i am somewhat the queen of doing everything in the wrong order. i am little more than halfway done resealing and gasketing the windows on my 77 when it occurred to me that the stripper is going to pull all of that sealant off and eat all of my nice new gaskets. An email to the vintage trailer people got me an affirmative to that concern.
But in here i am not noticing anyone discuss the effect of stripper on window gaskets.
Are you all smart enough to strip before you re-seal or is there a trick i don't know about?
Also does polishing also wear away sealant?
