Removing oil

Hi!

I just completed a cross country trip from NY to California with my Flying Cloud. I was waylaid in Salt Lake City for a week and a half with truck issues. There was a massive oil leak that resulted in oil being sprayed on my trailer. Any ideas on how to best get it off without causing more problems?

Thanks!!!

I have had to use this a couple of times on my AS, Zep Heavy Duty Citrus Degreaser. It did an excellent job of dissolving oil and grease on the front of the trailer and it did not appear to harm the clearcoat surface at all. Dilute per the instructions and spray on. I followed up with a good rinse without wiping. Then, another spray treatment, let it sit for a few minutes then washed with my regular car wash soap. It is water-soluble and cleaned very well along with the car wash soap. Of course, you will have to give it a good rinse, dry thoroughly followed up by the wax of your choice.

Especially if it is grimy and thickened, WD-40 works nicely followed by car wash detergent. The bug and tar removers are similar variants of the WD-40 solvent.

Then wash with Dawn...it's formulated for oily ducks.😂
