Rejex polish

In an earlier thread last year there were a few of you who were trying the Rejex polish. I would be interested after a year to find out your opinions on how it did. I would be applying it on a 2006 with clear coat.

This is the same company that makes CorrosionX.

I bought both products but haven't used the CorrosionX yet.

I used Rejex on my truck about a month ago. It seems to be holding up pretty well.

I also applied it to the glass and it does help with removing bugs.

I plan to use the CorrosionX as a preventative for the dreaded filiform on the A/S.

I also plan to use Rejex on the A/S.

The stuff works great! Used it on the front of my F350 and the bugs wash right off without scrubbing.

I have read all the threads, but they were dated June of 2006 so I thought some of those fellows might have some feedback for us.. I think I will order some and give it a try..I have been using the Walbernize and it seems a little to soft for my preference.. Our water here is a little hard and when washing the classic I have to dry her off real good or she spots up big time. Hoping that the Rejex will be a little harder of a shell to help repel the minerals.
I tried using the Mr. Clean auto spot free on the walbernize and those two didnt get along at all.. Very spotty and gummy. I too use the Corrosion X and am happy with its performance hence my interest in the Rejex product.

I will give a report after I get it on and let it weather a little.

I went to the product website and didn't find an answer...am I correct in assuming that Rejex and CorrosionX are OK to use on newer Airstreams that have the original clear coat? We have not waxed the AS yet, and have no signs of filliform, thankfully, but I want to know how to avoid it, too.

Here is the reply I received.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for your inquiry. I visited the Airstream thread and find
it fascinating. CorrosionX is absolutely a FIX for your problem.
It solves all corrosion issues and is the highest recommended
product for use in aluminum aircraft by the JAA (US Joint Council
on Aging Aircraft). Regular CorrosionX can be sprayed or wiped on
so easily and will leave no visible residue and no oily film. Just
wipe it dry, leaving a 4/10,000 inch bonded layer. It displaces
all moisture and cancels the electrolyte in a corrosion cell,
which is trying to complete an anode/cathode circuit to your
metal. Re-apply as needed, possibly as much as quarterly in a
humid or salt (coastline) environment.

You asked about RejeX, and though it will do nothing to remove
existing corrosion (as CorrosionX will) it will seal the metal
from oxidation and moisture and could be applied after treating
with CorrosionX. In addition, you will love the shine and the way
it keeps anything from sticking. It's also wonderful on all glass
surfaces.

I would love some feedback after you work with either CorrosionX
or RejeX. We guarantee your satisfaction and I can tell you that
I've set up hundreds of dealers and sold tens of thousands of
units with nearly universal success.

P.S. Spray CorrosionX on all your locks, battery terminals and
electrical contacts. And before you plug into a site outlet,
spray CorrosionX into it. It will eliminate arcing in the outlet.

Let me answer some of the questions in this thread.

I've been using Rejex and Corrosion-X for about 5 years. First on my '98 Monaco Dynasty MoHo (aka...the bug magnet) and then on all of my vehicles and motorcycles.....window glass and all. Their stuff works great. Easy to apply and easier to remove the residue, makes taking bugs off a snap and projects a really nice gloss also. I usually apply it twice a year. Follow the directions explicitly and it will last quite a while.

I'm about to attack my filliform corrosion problem with the Corrosion-X in a week or so. I tried the factory fix using ACF-50 and was not impressed with the results. I hope the Corrosion-X does the trick. If the usae of their other products is any indicator....it should work as advertised.

I'll report back with some photos after I hit the CCD with the super sauce!

My husband Grant was introduced to RejeX just recently and has gone crazy with it! I think he'd RejeX his family members if we weren't running around. He has used it on our boat, cars, windows and has become obsessed with finding places to use it ! Yes, you need a good working service as its not cleaner . . .

He reminds me of the father in My Big Fat Greek Wedding who was always spraying everything with Windex!

I also have used RejeX with great results. I have a 2005 CCD. Bugs come off much easier and it looks great.

I was surprised to see Rejex come up here. I have a 1987 Cadillac Allante and our AllanteNet forum has some great results posted using Rejex.

This past week I clayed my car and then applied Rejex for the first time. I then took it for a quick trip up to Charlotte and Asheville over Thurs. and Friday.

I got home after running through varied weather of rain, sun, and dust to find that the finish is still very slick and easy to wash. Had lunch Friday with another Allante owner and he was very envious of the shine and finish.

If you have never clayed a car/truck you'll find it quite amazing in it's own right. Environmental pollution that deposits a lot of litttle bits of nastiness on your TV's painted surface, or clearcoat is removed with ease. I had a little overspray on my hardtop glass window and it came off even though it had been on the glass for seven months.

I don't have any experience with Clay or Rejex on bare aluminum so perhaps someone can chime in here on this. If you have clear coat on your aluminum there should be no problem. I use "Clay Majic" available at your local auto store. I ordered my Rejex off eBay.

By the way Rejex goes on with a clean cloth, hazes and is easy to wipe off. No cyclo required....easy.

I'm interested in trying CorrosionX. Would the general purpose or aviation version be best for Airstream use to prevent/treat filiform corrosion?

I'm going to use the aviation flavor, as the application and ,materials between aircraft and Airstreams are quite similar.

And I wholly agree with Glen about the use of clay. I first thought that the entire clay idea was just a bunch of hype! After trying it, I was totally amazed at how smooth the finish could get after using the stuff. I use it on my glass also.

I recently did the 19CCD and it was never that smooth to the touch. Rejex after the clay and the finish is awesome!
