Polishing going slow but good, other problem

I was removing the clearence lights (the 3 in the center rear of trailer) and the wire came out .Can I drill a 1/2 in hole under the light and reconnected or are there some other way to fix this .It is the center light if that matters. Can I get axcess if I remove the medicine Cabinet in the bath? I just got a call and have to go to work so will be gone for a month.I can use them break from polishing.
I am going to San Jose Ca. and Miami Fl any Airstreamers there email and may be able to get together and talk ?

I don't see why you couldn't drill a half inch hole under the marker light. My marker lights across the back all have 1/2" holes under them. It just makes sealing them up a bit tougher. Make sure you drill so the hole is as close to the centerline of the lamp as possible.
