The bumper on my 2010 model was very dull and not very attractive. I took it off the trailer and got it into the shop. The clearcoat melted away with Aircraft stripper and I polished it up using a Foredom flexible shaft equipped with a buffing wheel and Mother's aluminum polish. It went quicker than I imagined. Here are some photos of the process and the outcome.

Thanks Alphonse: (for the advise on technique and materials)
My bumper is off as part of an under carriage re-fit. Just got the BAL jacks powder coated and working towards the bumper. I was thinking of the old sanding down to 2000 grit and then going with the rouge polish on a wheel.
Question: did you clear coat after?? You don't mention that part.
That'll be the final touch...

Del,
I didn't coat it. I am running a test to see what happens. I waxed it and am going to see what happens. I have clear coated some motorcycle engine cases without too much success. So I want to see how long it stays looking decent without a coating. With the Mother's mag and aluminum polish it doesn't take but a few minutes to polish it up.
