Polish: Shiny VS. Not so shiny

I stripped the clear coat on my 1976 31' Sovereign about 10 years ago and it still looks good, a good shine but not the deep shine of the polished trailers. But it does need some attention to obtain a more uniform look to the entire exterior. Is it possible to polish the trailer and accomplish the not so shiny results. I have heard that reapplying some type of clear coat produces a less shinny finish. I would rather take the trailer to someone and have them do this job rather than me doing it myself. Any suggestions.

Thanks, for refreshing my memory, I had not thought of P&S although I had talked to one of their reps at a Vintage rally some time back. I have sent them an email for more details on what they would recommend. I will follow up when I get a response.

P&S has a loyal following and does a good job of shiny but not too shiny. They also offer a clearcoat option. There may be others that are closer to you but may not offer UV resistant clearcoat that is suitable for Airstreams. Automotive clearcoat is too brittle for Airstreams.

It seems That I remember something about Oasis RV in Tucson AZ polishing and clearcoating Airstreams from a few years ago. We have a trip planned to AZ in April if so that would be convenient. I am going to contact them today.
