We are full-timers and many times seek shady sites. Of course we know the down side to that..mildew, leaves and dirt. We just washed our trailer as best we could roof included but the roof leaves a LOT to be desired.
Is there a formula of stuff we could spray from a ladder then wash off with a hose? Probably not but you guys can usually come up with something great. It really isn't that white anymore. Help!
An extendable soft brush to clean with (two buckets; one with solution and one with rinse water; a bit of Calgon liquid water softener in each). Garden hose with twist sprayer. I wet the sides of the trailer before doing the roof.
I prefer to get on the roof but I know AS owners have an unreasoned fear of such. Use shoes that won't slip.
We used the car shampoo we used to wash the aluminum and it worked really well. Got up on a tall ladder and stretched across with one of those washing mitts on an extendable handle. the roof was filthy lots of dirt washed down the sides of the trailer but as we were washing and polishing that day it was no biggie. The fan covers look at lot brighter and cleaner now. We've had the trailer 3 years And we had not cleaned the roof until this year. It will be done every time we wash her now. Didn't get into the roof but from comments I've seen you can do that safely?
