Just started Compound Polishing. What are these black spots?

I bought a Makita polisher with a wool bonnet. 600-3000 RPM's. I've been running at 1500-2100. I have the Nuvite polishes G-7, C and S. Started with G-7. I am getting a mirror finish that I am thrilled with, BUT I am getting these black smudge marks. I can wipe them off somewhat. Am I going to fast, or too much or little polish. I still haven't fully removed the white etchings. On the 3rd pass with the G-7 they are almost gone. Is that what I need to do? Or do I need to get the cut heavier than G-7. Or do I need to go down to the C and then the S. I am finding that I need a fair amount of polish to remove the etchings. The black smudges don't seem to be related to the amounts of polish, but maybe I'm wrong.

Make that F-7 that I am using. Confused it with G-6, which maybe I need to use.

Get some sweatshirt material, put it over the bonnet after you've polished to remove the remaining oxidation.

With polish or dry. When you say bonnet . do you mean the makita or do you mean a cyclo polisher. Thanks for your help.

You move the polish around with your polisher and bonnet - but the bonnet gets 'mucked' up with the black oxidation. So if you throw some sweatshirt material over the bonnet - you can use that to remove the remaining black muck. You don't use more polish on the sweatshirt material. Make sense? Don't worry before long, you'll be an expert.

USE COMMON FLOUR TO REMOCE THE BLACK SMUDGES. JUST PUT SOME IN A SQUEEZE BOTTLE AND SQUIRT ON THE AREA OR RAG AND THE BLACK WIPES RIGHT OFF
