The Bambi is in my shop now for some some annual maintenance. Amongst other things, I have been thinking about replacing the 20 LB steel propane tanks with 30 lb aluminum so that I can utilize the propane level gauge the Seelevel monitor came with.
I knew that the tank cover would no longer fit.
As I I looked at my new tanks sitting there on the newly painted A-frame I said to myself "what would they look like polished?".
Now I know! Although my wife has forbidden me to polish the rest of the trailer, I figure it is only a matter of time and that I will win this battle by a campaign of attrition....
Doug&maggie, I do tend to wax and polish things don't I?
I can't believe how long the process of polishing the tanks took though. I am definitely not ready to polish the entire trailer...yet.
Every time I find filiform corrosion someplace I dream of of the day I will just strip that clear coat and polish the entire trailer.
Janet, maybe I will at that! I really do like shiny stuff. Sometimes I am afraid it seems tacky but shiny it is!
Actually, when it comes time for our Bambi to make the big transition to a shiny finish I think I will let Colin Hyde go the first round. I will simply maintain it after that....
