Glare Products and Scratches?

Hi Folks,

My Airstream was recently washed by an RV detailing service however they unintentionally scratched the exterior when a bolt came loose from their overhead brush. The scratches are visible at various angles. They have attempted to find local services to addresses the scratches but no one has stepped up so far.

I am wondering if anyone has ever used "Glare Knock-Out" and/or "Glare Micro-Finish" as sold by the Airstream Supply Company? I've read a few threads regarding scratch removal, but I am wondering if there are any "official" recommendations besides outright replacement of panels?

Photos PLEASE

If you can feel the 'scratch' with a fingernail, best not to try to remove completely, a light polish compound and seal with the clear of your choice.

I use the product, and it does take out light scratches and swirls on the sunglasses on the front of trailer

We boondock a lot and unfortunately have plenty of scratches as a result. Polishes remove material and should be used cautiosly by amatours. Glazes are excellent for removing scratches without harming the Plasticoat but are temporary fixes. In the interest of preserving Plasticoat for as long as possible I use 3M Hand Glaze on any noticeable scrathes before waxing which reduces them by 90% or so.

I would call a car detailer in your area. They have the equipment, materials, and know how to correct even the nastiest of scratches and swirls on your AS. If the damage is not all the way through the clear coat finish, they will be able to polish it out like new.

I would send the bill to the RV detailing service that caused the damage.
