fingerprints making me insane!

A few weeks ago I spent an afternoon adjusting the front door, trying to fix a leak. Now, I notice fingerprints all around the perimeter of the door. I've tried compounding, waxing, and washing, but no luck. It appears to be changes in the clear coat? Has anyone ever experienced this, and how do you remove the annoying fingerprint marks?

Thanks,

MIles

Yes, I have experienced your situation. Keep you voice low, though, 'cuz the Law monitored my post.

I have those on my unit too, it may be a case of where the clear coat is actually deteriorating. If PO's used a chemical on the locks and got their hands on the door...also over time you are going to get wear on the clear coat just from opening and closing the door...and I suspect the only way to completely get rid of them will involve stripping and re clearcoating or polishing.
