Cyclo Model 5 Age?

Looking at a pretty nice looking used Cyclo Model 5.

Is there anywhere to determine age with the serial number?

I don't think the actual age should matter if it's in good shape - it could have been barely used.

I do know "the older ones" have the switch situated that if you are holding the Cyclo "up right" (as you would be polishing a vertical Airstream panel) and it slightly slips in your hand it hits your hand & "turns on". We found that to be a problem when tired...the newer ones were redesigned so they are more "fail safe".

A couple of years ago a buddy of mine showed up with a cyclo branded as Craftsman. Back then there was some history info on the manufacturers website that told us his was from the ‘60’s. Unfortunately I no longer see that info on their web pages.

Mine has year manufactured on the backside, no code.
