Aluma Clean

Anyone ever used this stuff for regular maintenance of an already polished AS?

I have used it on stripped, not polished, surfaces. It works like any other acid wash. It will ruin a polish job and leave you with a clean, etched aluminum surface.

Is not the intention to take the thread on another direction but, can this be used as a etcher on the roof before painting it?
thanks

Yes it can. It is actually the "Brightener" used by aircraft painters in their process. Don't let it drip onto the lower polished surfaces and wash it well (neutralize) before paint.

Thx for the replies. I was intrigued by their statement about using it on polished surfaces but suspicious when I saw that it contains acids.
