Zip Dee rafter causing “penciling”

I have a Relax Zip Dee awning and I need to work on my rafter over the door. How difficult is it to push the rafter arm back into the housing? I think it is something like a gas strut.
My awning is not retracting evenly and is “penciling and rolling in unevenly.

Are you under warranty? The issue is both struts need to be equal pressure and when they are not what you described happens. If under warranty get it to your dealer and odds are they’ll replace both struts. We’re living this issue as well right now and have an appointment at a dealer when we are back near one.

And I tried to get it to roll up evenly and was unsuccessful.

I’m not the original owner so although I meet the warranty time frame, I don’t meet Zip Dee’s requirement to be the original owner.
