So I am one of those fortunate or unfortunate, depending on where you sit, people who have a power awning. True, it does not always react to a push of a button, however once I figured out how to minimize that I have had little problems. It is very sensitive to interruptions during an operation and it must be allowed to complete an operation. When it does that it now knows it's status and will allow another operation. I was having problems with it on our last trip and when I got home I spent some time with it and low and behold it seemed to respond much better to my requests. Hopefully it will continue to behave. When I was back to JC they did replace the control panel - although I do not believe that was an issue.

I tried it wrapped left, wrapped right, and zig-zagged. Good idea though!

Zip-Dee directions show zig zagged. With my awning if not zigged there will be a lot of strap not rolled in.
