White shavings/dust
Does anyone have any idea what these white dust/shavings are from? Every time we take our 2018 FC 28RBQ, we find these white dust/shavings on the floor, only on the driver side. They are extremely fine shavings of something and they break into fine dust when you try to pick them up.
I simply cannot figure out where they are coming from.

It is not uncommon for a new trailer to shake loose wood dust or shavings from cracks or joints when it is towed. I think they are byproducts of the construction process. Is the dust made of wood or plastic?

Our 2019 23CB generates the same wood shavings located to the left of the entrance door. I can’t find where it’s coming from

It's too white to be of wood. My guess is it's of some plastic material; these fine shavings easily break apart into powder/dust when I try to pick them up, and they don't dissolve in water.
At first, I thought they were from the Kleenex tissue box where you often find some pulp dust, but I have now eliminated that as a suspect.

At any rate I'd wager you won't see it any more after a few more trips.

If you look closely, you can see the spirals of white plastic drill swarf.

It has the same white color of Styrofoam, but the material breaks into powder rather than roll up like typical Styrofoam pieces.

White shavings/dust
I’m going to tell you, dealing with construction dust is ALWAYS going to be a part owning an Airstream.
In spite of attempts at automation and component construction, for so long as an Airstream is built inside an aluminum shell with a narrow door, construction dust shaking out as we shake them down is going to be a part of the Airstream experience,,,,, so we may as well embrace it.
