Where to Jack a 2008 19’ Bambi to replace axle

My Bambi is leaning to one side and the angle of my Dexter axle arms are different side to side. So, i think i need a new axle. My not so local airstream dealer cannot get to it until April. Have a local axle company who does trucks and RVs who will do it. Found the axle on Inland RV site, in stock and complete for $795. I just want to tell this axle guy how he should lift the AS cause AS is pretty specific about jacking. How do you guys lift the whole trailer?

That is worth a call to the mothership. Call Jackson Center and ask.

The jacking points are marked (or should be) by small aluminum plates. They are on the frame (each side) behind the wheels. The trailer should only be jacked along the frame and the frame is covered by the belly pan, but inspection will show where it is.

I recently changed the axle on our 2002 19'. If the axle you are getting is from Dexter (very likely), your mechanic may need to remove an additional 1/4" or so from one of the mounting holes on each side. That should not be necessary if the original axle was from Dexter, but is necessary if it was from Henschen.
