Where to Buy Aluminum Track?

This is the original track for 1/4" used in Airstreams back in the 50's. This is the track that is used to fasten the 1/4 inch plywood walls to the curves sections of the roof line inside.

Has anyone seen this someplace for sale?

VTS- does not sell this, and the one they sell needs a lot of massaging and or cutting to make it fit the inside radius.

FYI, Very nice Rebuild Page. Excellent fabrication work!

VTS has the Bulkhead wall molding. But it is not exactly the same as you have. However it may work if you are careful how you contour it for the ceiling radius. I called VTS this morning and spoke with "Poly", Poly said the description says it will conform to the inside curve of an Airstream ceiling.

You might want to give it a try. I'd have a heat gun handy.

I was fortunate to be able to reuse my originals.

You might also try some AS shops near you for there old stock that they have on hand from removing them and not reusing them.

Best of luck
_Dennis

So it attaches bulk heads to the floor and the inner skin? I think the VTS stuff is about it.

Aluminum Track

I have a bunch of it that came out of my 63 Tradewind. I'm in Cape Coral if you want to come get it. No charge. Send me a PM for the address and/or pictures.

Try Orange Aluminum. I have gotten several things through them with good service. Their web site is https://www.orangealuminum.com/
