Hi
The thing that got me going on command strips is the "change your mind in a year or three" part of all this. With no "damage" anywhere, the command strips make that part easy.
Downsides of command strips:
1) If you try them on a curved surface they may or may not hold.
2) The plastic is indeed plastic. Bash it hard enough and it breaks. In high traffic areas, it only takes a couple impacts from a case of beer
3) They are white and not very elegant. They may or may not meet with approval from the interior decor police.
4) You want to put them on a smooth / clean surface. The "textured" aluminum in the kitchen can be a problem. We have had to redo two on that stuff.
Sitting here typing I can spot at least a dozen of them in our trailer. I'd guess there are over two dozen total in the trailer.
Downsides of screws:
1) They make a permanent hole
2) They really don't grip all that well in plywood.
3) The shorter they are the more likely they are to strip out.
Indeed your trailer (and mine) is fill of screws and they probably all are doing a fine job. As far as I know, all the screws in this trailer are doing great .... except for three of them ....
