What is this?

Picked up used trailer today, after inspection found this rod. Ideas?

Sorry, got the process down now. I'm guessing this rod has something to do with spare tire? It was located inside trailer.

I could be wrong but with the paint wear on the non-hole end it looks like it would fit a bottle jack.

It could be the adjusting rod for old style stabilizer jacks. Ed
