What is it?

When I bought my '87 Excella last year, the sale included several boxes of various parts and accessories. The "kit" shown in these photos looks like some kind of modification, but I don't know to what. Any ideas?

It looks like it might just be a replacement cable for the vent over the cooker; the range hood vent and fan.

The original cable moves inside a sheath of coiled wire, and on my TT, it opens the outer hatch and switches on the fan when a lever is moved.

Other than that, I have no more guesses.

So why would it have a handmade wooden knob? I'm in Bythe CA now at the Hobo rally and I asked Ernie, the person who has run the flea market for the past 20 or so years, and he said he never saw anything like this "kit".

It may be the kind of thing a slightly deranged person creates to solve a problem they had, but it didn't work, so they coiled it up, wrapped some copper wire around it to keep it from un-coiling and threw it in a box thinking someday they will make it work better. Then when they sold the trailer, they got a laugh thinking about the buyer who would try to figure it out.

I think the wooden handle provides a classy touch.

Or, it may be the advanced version of: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44/...stick+attached
